| We hiked from the Colorado River trailhead to the Grand Ditch. Headed south to Opposition Creek then followed the ridge on the north side of the creek to the Cumulus summit ridge. The Never Summer Range is full of loose boulders and the ridge was no exception. We went from Cumulus to Mt. Nimbus | |

| I ascended the south ridge from Mount Nimbus and descended the nice west ridge back down into Opposition Basin. Maybe all that snow covered a lot of nasty downfall but I don't recall the descending bushwhack to be all that bad. Cumulus has an more interesting name than most mountains, however I wish I could say the same about its route. A bit of a slog. I did really enjoy my day up there. Lot's of solitude, and it was great exploring an area that I had never been in. I'll go back. | |

| Climbed with smudge. This was the last summit of our traverse from Lead Mountain south. The ridge run was a blast but the descent off Cumulus down to the Grand Ditch was brutal. | |
