| The approach to the summit gives you an opportunity in mid-summer to do a lot of wildflower identification. Absolutely breath-taking views on clear days of Mt. Shuksan and Mt. Baker to the southwest. Once at the camping area, a variety of small mountain ponds abound, with remnants of the gold mining era that took place over 100 years back. Views of American Border and Canadian Border Peak are unbeatable, as well as that of Tomyhoi. Equipment can still be found, as well as a hidden mining cabin, but be sure to take good care of what you find and leave what remains for others to see. |
