| As described below with Matthew. He seems to forget that I found him a fairly decent, if not contrived, class 3 route that avoided most of the sand. And if that wasn't enough, I lead him up Church Dome a few months later, so I'll consider the debt paid, thank you very much. :-) | |

| Sep 18, 2004: Dayhike out of Mineral King, first up to Sawtooth, then over to this (sand slog with a cool summit block), down to Soda Creek, before looping around via Rainbow and Florence. Fairly poor views because of low cloud cover. Sep 9, 2006: Another Sawtooth/Needham dayhike, this time with Bob as an acclimatization hike (insufficient!) for a dayhike of Black Kaweah the next day. He owes me an excellent climbing outing after subjecting me to this sand again. | |

| Arduous hike from Mineral King to Crystal Lake with a pack, then from Crystal Lake to the summit and back. Definitely a workout, but well worth it! | |
