WasatchvoyageFun scramble up from Dell's.  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Dec 18, 2009

After the long drive in I was able to get up to the end of the road in Dell's Canyon, where all of old mines and equipment are located. Once hitting the ridge it was really enjoyable scrambling, though slick from six inches of fresh snow. The peak had a gatorade bottle serving as a geocache and I assume the summit register. Return route same. Great remote peak, worth the drive!

DeanWest side  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Aug 18, 2009

It took us three hours to get from the Lakeview point Flying J (Toole turnoff) to the 5200 foot place where we parked near an old mine to do this very isolated but beautiful peak (exactly 100 miles). Mike is a great hiking companion and he also knew this area from previous visits. The route we took up was very reasonable and straightforward and was mainly class 2 with a class three spot here and there. We had 1700 feet of elevation gain in a bit over a mile so it was pretty steep in some spots but never technical. Along with a summit register and benchmarks, we found a fairly recent geocache, placed in late May.

MikerHikerSteep Hike  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Aug 18, 2009

Hiked with Dean, We went in up Miners Basin from the west and parked below the summit. We walked up the road to the saddle and then took off going up the south side. Great hike, It was very steep and somewhat loose in a few places. You really need to watch your step on this one. Saw a nice Bighorn Sheep on the way up.

One of my favorite peaks! This area was amazing! I really enjoyed this hike and I loved the views from the summit. I particularly liked the views looking south towards the rest of the range.

VarleysRoute Climbed: From the east side climbing up the ridge south of Dell's Canyon Date Climbed: June '04  Sucess!
I camped near a mine at the head of the canyon and hiked south and then west following a ridge. There wasn't a trail but the route-finding was easy. From the camp to the top and back was about 4 hours. I climbed close to the top but turned around because of the exposure.

The mines in this canyon seem intact and are interesting to look at. I saw two guys on motorcycles east of the mountain. In the two days I was there I didn't see any other people. The isolation here is a little spooky.
