| Kept to the right side of the face on the ascent, finding mostly solid, easy, and enjoyable class 2-3 scrambling; descended the chute (leftmost one on the face when viewed from Foerster Creek) leading almost straight down from the summit, finding it loose and a poor choice. Outstanding views of the Clark and Ritter Ranges, and wonderful weather.
A shorter approach than expected, something like 6.5-7 hrs to the summit from the Isberg Pass TH. Traversed over to Isberg Peak on the way back. Enjoyable dayhike--surprisingly, it turned out to be the easiest of the Rodgers/Electra/Foerster triumvarate to climb in a day. |
