| Climbed the south ridge from our campsite at the upper Stephens Lake (8945'). It was a very fun scramble. The rock was a bit loose in places, but not too bad. Reading the summit log with entries back to 1954 was very cool. | |

| Long day from the car. Firm snow in the early AM, then very, very warm. Some rock and ice cubes flying down the couloir. Although it was not difficult, we found the rock on the upper ridge to be very broken so somewhat scary, especially in exposed spots. Summit log was full. And metal tube was too stuffed to add paper. | |
