| Hiked in from Mission through Lucifer Lake. Swarmed by mosquitoes, expected grizzlies everywhere (saw none), swarmed by millions of lady bugs at the summit (very interesting), expected to see grizzlies eating lady bugs, went home. Long, long, long hike. Ten hours? | |

| Good weather both times. Fairly long day of hiking from the Mission Dam trailhead. Started up from the trailhead around 6:30 a.m. and reached the top by 1 p.m. or so. Enjoyed a few hours on the summit before heading down. Got back to the car by 7 p.m. | |

| Patrick Cross, Steve Knox Day 1: drove up late afternoon after class at UM, hiked into Crystal Lake, camped Day 2: woke 6:00am, bushwhacked into Lost Lake, reconned creek crossings/thicket passages/cliff passes of approach, camped Day 3: woke 4:20am, summitted 9:00am, napped at Lost Lake, descended to Crystal Lake, camped Day 4: woke 4:20am, hiked out, drove home, went to Spanish class | |
