| Cable car up and hiked down after spending some time at the Dead Sea. Just one stop of a month long trip in Israel, great place, shame about the political/religious/social issues. | |

| Took an Arab minibus tour from Jerusalem. Arrived at the base of Masada before dawn. Small crowd of people waiting for the gates to open to hike up the switch-back trail. I passed everyone except an Englishman. We had an undeclared race to the top, but I couldn't catch him and he won. It was a demanding hike. Saw the sun rise over the Dead Sea from the top. Unforgettable. | |

| I hate cable cars...and the place together with the weather were magic. Impressive views, adorned with this so special athmosphere of historical places. A special spot during a 15 days hike between Galilea and the Red Sea. | ||
