| Climbed up from Baron Creek into a small beautiful bowl on the north side of Tohobit. From there a snow climb led to a notch just west of the summit on a tower ridden ridgeline. Up and down many steep gullies finally led to summit where I spooked a mountain goat that was just hanging out at the very top. He disappeared down the steep Class 5 north face much to my amazement! The scrambling and step kicking reached Class 4 at times but was mostly 2-3, but a very long day from the Grandjean trailhead. This was a solo adventure with a wickedly brutal descent down the south side into the trailess Goat Creek Drainage. Sean Duffy |
