| Headed over here with Nga after hiking up Casa Grande earlier in the day. A fairly rugged bushwhack (OK, "fairly" is an understatement... the brush got pretty ugly in places, but at least Nga was nice enough not to give me *too* hard a time about where I was taking us). The higher left spire was a short, fun scramble, although no harder than class 3 IMO. Unfortunately, there was no register to be found. But there were some pretty nice views to compensate. | |

| I thought I climbed it. I climbed the right, or east spire twice in 2002, but since the page went up I see that the left spire is supposed to be it. Oh well, it was a tough little climb in the best kept secret, Big Bend. Now I have a good excuse to go back! | ||

| climbed again with a group of 7 other friends and got another group of people to love Big Bend. a careless move on the way down led to a severe sprain and a long hobble to the trailhead. | |

| One of my favorite hikes in Big Bend, Not too long, not too hard, not too steep, and great views. Still enough of a challenge to make it worth it. watch out for the glass summit register. | |

| A Texas classic. Probably my favorite climb in Texas. Lots of nasty bushwacking with some 4th and 5th class climbing. The views of the entire Big Bend region and the Chisos were spectacular. Climbed it with 01aCRViper a day after Elephant Tusk. | |
