The day started out terribly foggy and damp so we killed some time by making a quick trip up Angels Landing. The fog seemed to be lifting so we gave Kinesava a shot afterwards. It ended up being a fun scramble although we had to be careful of loose, crappy rock. Routefinding was generally easy, but we had to explore a bit here and there. We accidentally went down the wrong gully from the high plateau but quickly realized our mistake and retraced our steps. This can be confusing terrain if you're not accustomed to it. There were helpful cairns in many places.

Unique hike... sad there is so much building around the trailhead now. Petros and the view at the top are nice.

This is a cool mountain. From the town of Springdale, it looks like it would be impossible to climb. The route is steep and has some good 3rd-4th class scrambling. The rock is very loose in many places. Even though my arms and legs were cut and bruised it was worth it. The climb was very enjoyable.

Scored some route information from Renee, a retired Zion Ranger. We parked near a gas station and made our way up a series of crumbled walls, one of which had a handline. Near the uppermost and tallest wall, an almost hidden slot goes up and to the right to reach the base below the summit. The scrambling reached Class 4 at times. The summit bump is like a small pyramid and we did not find the petroglyphs this time that we heard about

One of the finest scrambling peaks I've done in Zion to date.

While on the ramp/gully system, we took every opportunity to spruce up the route - a few nice little low-mid5th class chimneys/off-widths and a great hidden slot near the top.

We also checked out some cool petroglyphs tucked away up there. Great stuff.
