Did both summits from Drysgol but as soon as Aran Fawddwy was in sight the cloud shot in and made a misty day of it. Returne from Aran Fawddwy via Glasgwm/Craig Cywarch.
As soon we got back down in the valley and drove off to the pub for a meal the blasted sun came back out... Typical.

In winter this is the place to go, catches the snow beautifully even when the rest of Snowdonia is clear.

The valley was dry and green, with a brisk breeze. Walking up to Drysgol, the breeze turned into a gale, that was difficult to walk into, and snow was deeper, with some very deep drifts. I had to use my axe to get to the summit of Aran Fawddwy. A brilliant day in mostly bright sunshine.

I had an exactly opposite experience :P Really cool fog up on the summit, the visibility was probably just a couple of metres

A fine winter's day with a very cold northerly, from the summit we were rewarded with a crystal clear view of Snowdonia and the clouded valleys below.
