| My secondary school organized a two-day trip to the Seven Rila Lakes. We set off on a beautiful autumn day and walked from Lovna Hut via Skakavitsa Hut to The Rila Lakes Hut at 2150 meters above the sea level. We had a nice stay there - I liked the hut. It's more like a hotel. On the next day we continued up in the mountain, but it was so windy that some of the people even didn't go out of the hut. Eventually we reached to the 5th lake on the path and gave up. The wind was so strong that I could barely walk and I almost fell on the ground several times, even though I had my heavy-duty leather jacket (5 kg) on my back. We went back to the hut for a brief meal and descended to the Lovna Hut where a bus was waiting for us. It was a great trip even though we couldn't visit all the seven lakes and ascend to the nearby summits. |
