| I had studied the map and thought I saw a good route on the ridge that is north of the road in North Pine Canyon. So, today I went for it. It was all cross country and not quite the walk in the park i hoped for. However, the end result was good. I found the Bennion benchmark is a most unexpected place. Very unusual placement and this would be easy to miss if you didn't get the highest point. I found no register although I might have simply missed looking in the right spot. | |

| There was still quite a bit of snow left in the Sheeprock Mountains from all of the late spring storms. This is a nice peak that isn't climbed much. I had to go over two false summits before I got to the actual summit. The scrambling along the ridge was fun. Good view from the top. | |
