Date Climbed: Jun 8, 2008

A great climb and ski! This was definitely my steepest backcountry ski to date. The couloir itself is about 600' of climbing averaging 47 degrees, though I did not have a slope meter to check this (Gerry Roach's description). He stated in his route that the crux, about 200' from the top is 60 degrees. None of us felt it was quite that steep, but there definitely was a short section that was a little steeper than the rest of the couloir right at that point.

The couloir gets a bit narrow at the top, probably only about 2 ski lengths in width, if that. Below the bend about 1/2 way down it gets a little wider before opening up on the apron where the route converges with Super Star and Sky Pilot.

You have to reclimb anywhere from 200' to 400' to get back to the southeast slopes route.
