| With Miguel Forjan. Clear day. Enjoyed the first two miles as you walk nearby meadows and cow poop. Took a small break at Trail Canyon Saddle and proceeded towards the summit. Didn't feel like walking over to Montgomery Peak. Came down via the scree bowl on the far right (east). | |

| Back in the day before Highpointing was so popular, there wasn't much of a trail after the high saddle. We saw just one other hiker that day. | |
