Date Climbed: Apr 30, 2009

My 8th time up (this was my 4th time up on the 2009 season). Dayhiked with with Paul, Alexander and Quang. Alexander and Quang came back a 2nd time to Snow Creek to redeem themselves. Snow conditions were very soft and some bridges collapsed so we had more rock scrambling to do. Route is almost done for the season.

Dave Daly26 Years Of Oogling....History!  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Mar 14, 2009

26 years ago, I arrived in California having moved from Ohio (damn Flatlanders!). As I was passing Mt San Jacinto on the I-10, Snow Creek couloir was one of the first impressionable sights I witnessed while driving to 29 Palms as a "wet behind the ears" Marine Lance Corporal. Then, I wondered if it had ever seen human tracks upon it. 26 years later, with my beautiful wife and a great group of guys, we "got er done" (12 hours from parking lot to summit). Even had time for a few beers at the trams station!

When are we doing it again Miguel?! ;)

Finally got my first attempt at the north couloir and am pretty pleased to have summitted in 12 hours under perfect weather conditions and great snow (except the last few hundred feet). Great group of guys - Miguel, Paul, Ron, Steve, Gene, Alex and my man Dave. Happy to have checked this one off!

What can I say, it was an amazing day. I new this was going to be a big climb, but I still underestimated it. I had no idea of that approach, but, once past the chokestone, it was amazing. Unfortunetly, my camera fell in the creek just below the chokestone, so I only have a few pictures (90 to be exact). Also, if anyone finds sunglasses in the part where the trail crosses the creek in the section that leads to the Class 3 bypass, let me know.

I want to thank Miguel for putting it together. Also, it was nice getting to know him, along with Dave, Deb, Steve and the other guys. Also, it was nice to get to climb with Gene again.

Great day overall. We say one big group of skiers come down and then another guy who had climbed up and then skied down. I couldn't have asked for more. Trip Report coming soon

Date Climbed: Mar 4, 2009

Beautifull day of climbing via Snow Creek with Miguel and Jon. We day hiked it and I made it to the summit in just under 12 hours. Lots of tracks due to the rescue up there the day before. It's hard to believe there is such an unbelievable alpine climb so close to home. I will definatly be doing this climb again.

We had a 6am start and got to the waterfall at 10am. Made the summit at 3:45pm and then the tramway at 5:45pm. The lower mountain is in great shape. We encountered some soft snowpack during the last 400-800' of gain.

For years I've been staring at that couloir on my way back from Joshua Tree...Finally knocked it off last weekend. Definitely a classic, but pretty brutal if your only training has been weekend cragging! Conditions were pretty good -- predictably soft at the top. Otherwise, nice crunchy snow. Climbed with Brad and Ryan.

forjan4th time & still love it  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Mar 29, 2008

This was my 4th time on Snow Creek and I still enjoy it tremendously. It has become an annual climb for me. This time it was quite the social climb as I climbed with 10 other SP'ers: Luis, Jason, Kevin, Mike, Rick, Tina, David, Roman, Ryan and Jon. Started at 4:20am. Summited by 3:45pm. Back at the Tram by 6pm. All in all, an awesome day out near Palm Springs!

Was a good time with half of SummitPost out there. WAS UNSUCCESSFUL to summit due to knee problems, and everyone else in the group flew like butterfies. I'll return to make it happen though! Great views out there!

Sweet Jesus, nearly all the SoCal folks were here. Had an awesome time.

Went with Miguel, Tina, Mike Sash, Rick Kent, Kevin T, Roman, David, and a buncha other great folks. Had a GREAT time, even though I'm not in typically good physical condition.
