Date Climbed: Apr 1, 2009

The worst traffic jam I ever saw in RR. 6 parties, 12 climbers on Olive Oil on a Wednesday. I guess it had something to do with April's fool, just my luck. Had to wait almost 2 hours at the belays. The climbing was just so-so, nothing really exciting for me.

GroundswellPorn Convention  Sucess!

climbed this during the porn convention, jan 18th i think. wife thought it was a very strange coincidence our trip was same weekend as convention. day 1 was windy. "climbed" at black corridor. too much time off makes 5.9 awfully hard. day 2 did olive oil. forgot helmet but went anyways. ran pitch 1 into 2. belayed at crack, 3 hexes fixed pro for belay. led pitch 4/5? easy face climbing with long runouts. fun climb

fossanaperfect winter day  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Jan 11, 2009

Sunny 65F winter climbing with Jascha. Used a 70m rope as recommended. Overshot the 4th belay and had to down climb to remove the last nut, but otherwise uneventful.

Sam Page2x  Sucess!

I climbed this in spring 2000 and 2001 (though not the "plus" version). Both times we passed parties of three, which was not pleasant.

Part of a 4 day, 4 route, stint at Red Rocks during RRR. 5.7, 5.8, 5.9 and 5.10...might reverse that order next time though. Good times with Stacy...a 70m rope makes this 4 pitches, combine 2-3 which is the real climbing on this route. And worth it to, with such a quick descent. Makes for a fantastic 5.6-5.7 pitch. Route is much better than Cat in the Hat in my opinion and should be considered for a first route at Red Rocks.
