| I hadn't exercised at all for the past 3 months and had gained 15 lbs while working in Qatar. This was my first outing since then, and it worked out very nicely with a 2:40 hrs summit time! Nice views from the summit. | |

| I highly recommend this hike. The weather, as I anticipated, was unpredictable. I wanted to start pre-dawn, to possibly see the sunrise from the summit, but lightning storms lit up the night sky like a laser show (so I waited until dawn to begin). In between periods of beautiful blue sky & sun, I encountered several rain drizzles & three hailstorms before reaching the summit... which then had a new weather system to greet me with approximate 20-30 MPH winds. Great scenery all along the North Elbert Trail, especially along the Northeast Ridge. | |

| Early season attempt. Sun cups were awful on the lower mountain, postholing to our waists. Got more compacted higher up. Were able to glissade much of the way down. | |

| Great hike...so easy considering it's Colorado's largest 14er. Saw a gi-normous porcupine right when we re-entered treeline on the descent. Really cool day out! | |

| A very easy walk-up, just cruised right to the summit on an almost perfect day. | |
