| Started around 8, passed groups from Texas, Ohio and Louisiana on the way to the summit. Summited around 11, and spent just enough time to sign the register and take a couple of pictures. The weather over Elbert wasn't looking good and looked like it could head my way, so back down I went. Only took 1 1/2 hours to get back down. | |

| Climbed from Winfield leaving at 5am, on top at 11:30am. Met Wallis Cramond on top and we hiked down together. I was sure I had found a climbing partner. Unfortunately Wally sufferd a heart atack in 1997 while he was hiking Mt. Antero. Even with the risks involved the mountain "thing" is still worth it. | |

| Was camped down near Winfield and decided to hike this one morning. Began about 6 AM and summited at about 10 AM or so. I was the only person on the trail all day. Great views. | |

| My daughter and I chose this route over the "standars" NW ridge route, seeking isolation and a quick climb. Did it at a leisurely pace and took 9 hours. Only saw two other people the entire day. Good weather, nice views. | |
