JJNE Face  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Sep 4, 2008

We could not find a baby sitter so we opted to take turns doing the easy route while one of us watched the little one at the car. A fun and easy afternoon. The route is about as straight forward as it gets. The one thing that stood out for me was the lack of pine beetle infestation in this area. It was beautiful to see large expanses of green versus all the dead forests elsewhere in the state. I am not through with this mountain as I want to come back and do the Sawtooth traverse and complete this mountain combo in better style. Overall a fun afternoon.

Mark DoironGood for Quick Climb  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Aug 7, 2006

We were headed back to Oklahoma after spending a week in Colorado. This climb was a quick way to let my son (and me!) bag a 14'er before heading back out on the highway. Worth mentioning: The route is well-cairned, though as one ascends higher it's more difficult to pick out the easily visible path seen lower down. Expect more scrambling at the finish!
