Dave and I took about 14 hours to complete. Great day but next time would do the east ridge back down. The traverse is tiring.

A fun day out - up the east, down the west. 15 hours car to car with perfect weather for lounging at the summit. Only 1 pitch of easily protectable low 5th class rock, the rest 4th class, a great Jasper classic in an area filled with beautiful quartzite ridges.

Flexmellow ridge Aug/00  Sucess!

A fun, mellow Rockies ridge, we roped up for the rock pitch only. LONG descent thru a mosquito-filled valley. Better to downclimb the route.

Sam PageEast Ridge  Sucess!

Jim Voss and I climbed this route in spring conditions (though the ranger called it winter conditions) in July 1999. The final, steep, unprotectable snow arete was wild. The wind was so strong that we didn't even pause on the summit, but just continued along the ridge, until eventually glissading down to the left. A great circuit which took about 12 hours.
