1st CO summit; 1st 14er summit. Having the summit view to myself was a breathless experience. The last 300 ft on the ridge was sweet. Missed the Lavender Col exit and had to scramble across to get back on course. Awesome mountain experience.

quickie up the southwest ridge with jamie, aaron and kiefer. kinda surprised by how short it seemed and the relative lack of big exposure higher up. fun day nonetheless!

A great route to the summit while descending Lavendar. Not as bad as I was expecting. Sweet views of Dallas, Gilpin and Block Tops!

Kane, Vanny37 and I headed up the ridge while kilimanjaro1 and jeffrawn headed up the Lavender Col route. Still some snow and ice in gullies used to gain the ridge crest. 3rd class mud, wet rock, loose rock and a few 4th class moves will also be required until it fully melts out. The ridge crest itself is great though! Good solid rock and some really fun scrambling. Looped with the standard route for descent.

The scramble up the S ridge was great - it's all route finding. The summit was loaded with climbers when we reached the top. They'd all taken the "easy" way up and wondered where we'd come from. I don't think they were very impressed when we told them.

One of the best and most interesting non technical climbs in CO in one of the most beautiful areas too.

Great mix, good hiking and scramblingand even found a class 5 variations up a short dihedral. Lots of boulder hopping too and very little snow.

seth@LOKIA classic ridge on a clasic peak on a classic day!  Sucess!

This is a must do for Sneffels climbers who have even the slightest taste for scrambling! I lucked out on my latest climb of teh ridge when it was being bathed in mist that highlighted teh features of the ridge and kept the hot sun from wasing out the beauty!

Just a good solid scramble and a perfect loop with the south slopes on descent.
