| Successful to the south summit that is. That ridge is beyond my scrambling ability to get to the north summit. | |

| I climbed to the south summit with my friend John. We left the trailhead at 6:00 a.m. and summitted at 10:20 a.m. (John actually made it up a little before that.) We ate lunch on the summit, signed the log book, and headed down at 11:00 a.m. We reached the car at about 2:35 p.m. Our descent was a lot slower than it should have been because I was getting pretty bad blisters. I discovered at the trailhead that I had only brought one(!) sock, so I hiked in my Chacos instead of my hiking boots. That turned out to not be such a good idea. :) The lower 1/3 (or so) of the trail has been recently cleared of brush. The whole trail was pretty easy to follow. It was nice to not have to hunt around to find our route. We saw two other people in our eight hours on the mountain. | |

| Awesome views, great solitude, but very steep trails! I carried gear and a full pack to a camp spot about 3 or 4 miles up. It took 2 hours 15mins to reach the camp spot. From the camp spot to the saddle took another hour, and from the saddle to the south peak took 1.5 hours. It's a tougher climb to reach the South Peak via this route (Andrew's Ridge) then it is to reach the slightly higher North Peak via the North Route. | |
