shphilbyNice trail  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Aug 6, 2009

Hiked within feet most of the way up. Didn't walk the trail until we were almost to the top LOL.

KirtDavisAll to ourselves  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Aug 6, 2009

Nice route, though we missed it until we were nearly up at the top. Made an easier way down, though.

WasatchvoyageFun route!  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Aug 22, 2008

I made it to the summit of Mt. Peale via this route. I saw only one other climber that day. Most climbers park at La Sal Pass, however if you're equipped with a 4 wheel drive you can get almost to the base of the Talus Chute. This access road may be impassable from mid October to mid June when heavier snow levels are present. The 4 wheel drive cutoff coordinates from the road leading to the pass are: 38'25.217 N 109'14.401 W, almost dead on at 10,000 feet. This road has a forest service marker, and is located on the main dirt road .6 tenths of a mile east of La Sal Pass.
