| Going up, I summitted Frazier mountain and then stayed on the rim. No need to descend into La Cal basin as you are going up, which I did on the way down. | |

| Very scenic hike and very well marked trail. It was extremely wind and cold along the ridge and at the summit. With the wind chill it was about zero degrees! | ||

| For the most part, a great route with beautiful weather. My only complaint, having to lose 500+ ft in elevation descending into La Cal Basin before having to make it up on the other side. | |
