akhikerLate start...but still made it!  Sucess!
Date Climbed: May 28, 2009
Got a late start up the trail, made it to the top around 4pm in the middle of a huge thunder and lightning storm...next time will be smarter-up by noon, down by 2! Amazing views of the valley and half dome on the way up, the rocks can be very slippery on the way down.

farrisglHiked and Backpacked Many Times in all Seasons  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Jan 6, 1973

The hike to the top of Yosemite Falls is my favorite in the park. I have done it many times in all seasons, camping out on several occasions at the top of the upper falls.

Date Climbed: Nov 25, 2008

The falls were a shadow of their summer glory. Still, wonderfully graceful.

I took my girl up half way to see the upper falls. Great views of the valley and a great trail.

Thought I was in good shape and got educated in the truth. This was a beautiful hike but definitely start early and train for the continuous uphill walking. I will always remember the feeling of exhausted thighs when I reached the top. Well worth it.

Mike NYosemite Falls trail  Sucess!

Hiked a couple of summers ago. Start early to avoid the heat and take lots of water. The views are tremendous. Highly recommended for a day hike in the valley.

Arthur DigbeeGood hike, great views  Sucess!

Lots of switchbacks up the trail, and it gets moderate crowds (like everything else in Yosemite) but worth it.

Sharon"potholes" at top  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Sep 22, 1994

Done to access Lost Arrow Tip. Hike enjoyable in it's own right. River very low: mostly "potholes", some filled with water. Very interesting to see what the river is like before it becomes Yos Falls. Unbelievable view at night of Valley lights from nearby Yosemite Point. Trailside scar still visible where a section peeled off some years ago, killing hikers.

Date Climbed: Jul 15, 2006

A group of 7 from our camp made this charge up Yosemite Falls in 3 hours. We temporarily missed the correct trail at the TH, but it turned out well because we spotted a bear in the process. Once we hit the trail we made good progress to the top. We were paced by my 7-year-old son. Of course, unlike the rest of us, he only had to haul his 45-pound carcass to the top! I was so proud of him for hiking strong to the top. We took plenty of pictures and swam in the creek above the bridge (where it wasn't dangerous). Great day. Great hike.

Date Climbed: Aug 20, 2004

Hiked up with a group from our camp to the top of Yosemite Falls (which was bone dry), on to Yosemite Point, and on to North Dome before heading back to camp in the valley via the same route.
