| Intrigued by John Muir's story of his descent of Indian Canyon on August 3, 1869[?], and because it looked like the most direct natural way up to the rim, I led a Sierra Club hike up the canyon. We got about 3/4 to the top. The water in the creek was high and the bypass we found to our left required a high class 4 move, so we went back down. It was still an enjoyably challenging and memorable day. |
