Dave and I started out this route with full packs, and made it up to the ridge where we setup camp on a small level grass slope. The following morning we made it to the summit. Some cornices remained from the previous snow season. Great summit.

Up and down South Willow. Totally surprised me how amazing. Tons of spring snow accounted for green, green, green.

This is the standard route to Deseret Peak and South
Willow Lake. There's portions of the trail with little
or no shade, so bring plenty of water. The scenery is
incredible, looking off to the Great Salt Lake desert
to the north and the Tooele Valley and Wasatch Range
to the east. Plenty of trees and shade at the lake.
