John ClimberNormal  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Sep 27, 2009

Climbed in 4 1/2 hrs from Ángel Orús hut, and 3 1/2 hrs to descend back. Unstable weather (cloudy), but no rain or snow. Temperature was relatively high. Almost no wind. A little bit of snow-patches (from the winter) at the lower part (entrance) of the 'Canal Fonda', at this time avoidable by the loose rocks at the right side. Further the route was free of winter snow, but covered with a thiny layer of snow/ice fallen during the day before (the first snow of the coming winter?, but crampons and ice axe were not needed at all. The sharp ridge and top were clear of snow.

kabernicolasecond attempt

During my first pyreenes trip we tried this route but a T-storm sent us back when we were really close to the summit. The following summer we went back to the route. it was a clear and sunny day. In fact after climbing the Posets we did the Espadas and the Tucon Royo

Rafa BartolomeA great mountain
Date Climbed: Aug 4, 2002

One of the best observatory of the Pyrenees if you are lucky (It was not our case). Terrible storm to the night on having come to the refuge, many fog in the top, any companion could not do top ... in end, all the conditions to have to return another day but at least I feel satisfied with the sensation of having done some important thing (3375 metres, very few mounts in Spain overcome it, only 5).

We come back!
