Sneffels is my favorite in Colorado and this route is one of the most interesting I have ever seen. It was a little exhilarating coming down through the v-notch.
Started at the outhouse at 6am, summitted at 8, down by 9:30 a bit of new snow in the upper col. Don't know what the fuss is about lavender semi steep but easy slope.
Easy to get to, spectacular views. Next time I'm hiking up a lawn chair, beer and a book. Interested in some of the more challenging routes on the other side.
