Darren9fun anytime of year  Sucess!

I have climbed the "true" summit of Castle many times, it is always fun to get a little bit of climbing in at the very end of a nice hike.

haishanFriable rock  Sucess!

Downclimbing the summit blocks, I pulled a hand hold off and nearly stumbled over the E face. Caution. Have skied the summit a few times, always seem to get breakable crust here. :P

Date Climbed: Mar 9, 2007

First snowshoed in march 2007, came back in late December 2008 to go up one of the chutes with ice axe and 'pons, first time doing anything one could even remotely consider mountaineering. @AlpineAffinity taught me the basics here.

Date Climbed: Feb 8, 2006

2 days before, tried to gain ridge without crampons or ax. Came back with gear and brother. Fun hike. Tried new gear. Followed E ridge of Andesite Peak to SW ridge of Castle Peak. Descended down the S main chute and glissaded down to the trees. The sun was shining and I was wear shorts and T-shirt.
