| The granitic crest of the Spitzkoepfe, is certainly, the most savage and sensationnal of all the High-Vosges ! I was there, is was friday, the 24th july 2009 : the ascent from the base was extremely hard, wild, dangerous, but too and too beautiful, spectacular, technical, paradisiac ... The vegetation was on the better level and the most interesting thing, at the Spitzkoepfe, were the panoramas ... At the South, is the Kastelberg (1350 m) and at the North, is the Hohneck (1366 m ! ). A legendary view, which will being kept a very long time in my head (forever, for the eternity, I will say ! ) ... As a big profi in hikes, I enjoy too much this site. But at the end of the ascent, on the summit, were my legs totally broken, out of walk : I had suffer and how ! But the surprise was there, by my foots ! My eyes were totally enhanced and balanced, deep into the air and the ravines ! A fantastic journey of hike, in these High-Vosges ! And great, still, for your excellent article on SP !!! |
