This was my second outdoor climbing trip ever. One week after toproping outdoors. Squishy took Amber and I up it. It was a little spooky and we were a little shaky but still easy and fun.

Went back in October and lead it (date shown). Lead it again in spring with a party of 4. That was interesting.

squishyfree solo  Sucess!

I brought some beginners to the knappysack on Saturday and we ended up climbing it twice. After a bottle of red wine I was feeling loose and felt solid and ready to free solo the route, but that meant the beginners would need to lead and follow it. I soloed next to the leader during the 1st pitch to ensure his placements were sound. It was a major rush, I had to scream when I reached the second belay, my breathing and heart rate were under control and my climbing was more precise than ever before. It's a easy climb and I've done it roped about 7 times within the last few months. I figured I would go up there one day by myself to free solo it and this was an unexpected surprise. I felt ready and solid, and climbed with perfection...Maybe I will head up again and do it alone a second time, free soloing is like therapy for me, it forces me to relax and puts everything into a very clear perceptive...

I had lead the 1st pitch of pop bottle in the past but this was my 1st true multi pitch climb. I liked the route, it was very easy climbing. Lot of places to place pro and easy stances, we found a great place for the second belay anchor. Look for a hole in the rock on your right and sling it, I had a good place to stand for a hanging belay..

First pitch is great for new climbers. Can rap off the tree with a 70m rope. Second pitch is a bit of a challenge as you can't quite make it to the top unless you move the belay or break into two pitches with a crappy intermediate stance.

One of the best routes for someone learning to lead trad. The slope is always significantly less than vertical with awesome gear placements and easy belay areas.

lisaefun!

I've climbed this route several times, to practice setting gear. The last time, we got it started snowing so we backed off.
