| From the north it is best to stay away from the boulders on left side of the pass. Stay on the grassy side near the obvious band of rocks below the col. This is a great way to make a loop from North Lake, thru Evolution Basin, over Bishop Pass and exiting a South Lake. Great views and easy cross-country navigation. (I have used this on 3 occasions with the first one being in the summer of 1973). | |
