| Although we were unsuccessfull in summiting, it was a great trip and invaluable learning experience. No matter how "easy" a 14er is considered, winter never fails to turn the tables and reduce us all to mere mortals. There are a few sketchy spots as far as Avy danger is concerned, but once topped out on the ridge, it's smooth sailing (unless the weather is closing in all around you!) | |

| Solitude? You ain't kidding! The first people I saw on this route were the 50 or so I found on the summit when I arrived there! Beautiful route! Chihuahua Gulch is something to see! I definitely recommend it, especially if you want to avoid the crowds (200 or so I saw...) up the normal route on a weekend. | |
