The subway is a blast, and the headwall gets the ole heart tickin', that's for sure!!

also took subway and ice caves, worth the effort. suggest return airline (durand ridge)

9 hours round trip. We took both the subway and ice caves detours, which are a bit of a grovel in places, waited out rain in the hut, and descended the wet Airline trail, which was a long 3.5 miles from the hut. This is a really nice, scenic, and strenuous loop.
