SEVEN day adventure, Michael. SEVEN. Ha ha...anyway, this was a truly inspiring route. It took us all day and we were sitting on top as the sun set. We worried that we'd be spending an uncomfortable night perched among the summit boulders but we found a small space on the snow for a tent and a rock slab for a single sleeping bag - perfect!

A challenging and fulfilling adventure. We climbed the buttress as part of a 6 day traverse of the range, so our packs were a little heavy! It took all day from a dawn start in the basin to reach the summit at sunset. We set up the tent right on the summit snow and made some dinner. There is considerable objective hazard on the lower third of the route, so start early and spend some time planning your route and options.
