| The sky was perfectly cloudless when five of us left the trailhead for Silver Dollar Lake. By the time we had summited Argentine, the cloud buildup was beginning to be ominous, but it didn't seem dangerous. However, upon our descent the sky turned gray, and after we had passed Silver Dollar Lake on the trail down, it began to rain and then it turned to hail! Lightning, thunder, rain and hail made for a very wet (and scary) return to our car. |
