mylesSW ridge  Sucess!

Descended this route after coming up the East face. Great fun and, as others have noted, fairly spicy if you stick to the crest.

Instead of the Yellow Brick Road, did the SW Ridge following along the very top of the ridge (the Yellow Brick Road travels generally below the top of the ridge on the right). This route includes a lot of fun 4th Class, with occassional short, low Class 5 sections. You get a good number of chimneys and places to use mantles and stemming. The granite is tightly put together and feels wonderful. Did this route on consecutive days I liked it so much.

Mountain ImpulseRoute Climbed: SW Ridge, the Yellow Brick Rd. Date Climbed: Sept. 18, 2005  Sucess!

It's mostly 3d Class, but you can get yourself some 4th Class pretty easily, especially if you veer toward the top of the ridge.
