John ClimberThe most comfortable AD on Mulhacén  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Apr 14, 2008

Excellent climb with two friends when we all thought the winter season in Sierra Nevada was over!! There was plenty of snow on the central couloir (known as 'Canuto Central')of all kind...soft and deep, hard, icy,...The first low key-pass (ice) was almost under snow. The second, higher, key-pass (on rock) was very icy and the grips were full of snow. It was a difficult section, where the use of rope could have cooled down our nerves. But we went all the way without it. The final climb to the summit was negotiated to the, easier, left. Excellent weather conditions. The best way up to the 'king'.

Climbed again on april the 9th, 2009, with good conditions. A little bit more ice than last year. We went out, again, to the left.
