| Climbing up its a bit of a slog, coming down its a bit of a slog - steeps most of the way though! Impressive views up to the Scafell Crags and down the length of Wast Water. | |

| Me and Nigel climbed this way to compare it to the other side. It is shorter on approach and offers less veiws but is a fine route never the less to Scafel or the Pike. It would be more of a day out to return via Great End and down to Sprinkling Tarn. We were glad of the shorter day because of damp weather and high winds. | |
