skottyA little boring  Sucess!
Date Climbed: May 10, 2008

I did this in the same day with Lake Peak and Ten Thousand Foot Ridge to finish off the 21 So. Cal. 10ers. If it wasn't one of the 10ers I would have gladly skipped this one. The approach, though not tuff is rather uneventfull the finishes with a broad rolling tree covered summit; doesn't feel like a summit.

Did Lake Peak first and tagged this one on the way back. Best view from this summit is looking west where you can see the north face of San Gorgonio, Charelton and on further west to Anderson. Very hot day for climbing

Did as part of Sierra club backpack. Camped at fish creek saddle. Easy climb, was hard to find the high point and the register can.

I made up the date because I can't remember the actual date back in 2002 that I got to the top of Grinnell. Grinnell isn't a real exciting summit - trees and not much of a view.

Mountain ImpulseRoute Climbed: Traverse of 10K Foot Ridge Date Climbed: July 1, 2001

Started out at Fish Creek Trailhead on a traverse of the Ten Thousand Foot Ridge from east to west. The easternmost end of the ridge overlooks "Hell for Sure Canyon." We summitted several unnamed peaks in addition to the peak known as 10K Ridge (10,094'), Lake Peak (10,161'), Zahniser Peak (this peak is not named on the topo but identified only by its elevation:10,056 ft.; it is at the westernmost edge of the ridge)and Grinnell Mountain.
