| Have done most of the routes on Breakneck numerous times. My favorite is still Breakneck (W) to Mount Beacon. Still have yet to see a rattler. | |

| This is my favorite scramble in the area. It can be made more "interesting" by veering off to the right or left of the trail. | |

| Hiked Breakneck again with sons Mark and Matt and a our friend Moe. Drizzle and showers in the morning cleared into a beautiful day! This hike is so much fun would love to do it again but will be moving to Maryland in a few weeks. Check out my trip report for pics of the Rattlesnake we saw! | |

| The scrabling is fun on the East side. Nice distant views of Manhattan. Saw the fastest Geese on earth heading down the Hudson and found "Devil's Head's seeds on the river. neat-O! | |

| like to come here when i have only a few hours to kill and have to get my scrambling fix. The Hudson is one of a kind and there is alot of magic in the highlands. | |

| I've climbed one time all the way and 1 time 3/4 of the way. The first time it was getting dark so we (my 2 sons and I) went for a quick hike and got most of the way up. The next trip we had all day, it was Oct. beautiful weather, very windy with lots and lots of migrating hawks. it was awesome! | |
