WasatchvoyageAquarius Plateau.  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Oct 10, 2009

Dusty roads, cooler wind on top. Great views coming down off the plateau. Pretty pristine area up there at that altitude.

Date Climbed: Sep 19, 2009

Now that I've climbed the dreaded Bluebell Knoll I can finally rest, thoughts of this summit had been haunting me or years, Did I have it in me? What if it took me over five minutes?

Two minutes to walk up to the top from the sign. The sign is beginning to show signs of weathering. I was surprised to see all of the trees up there at that elevation.

Date Climbed: Aug 15, 2009

Made it to Bluebell Knoll early in the evening. The summit had a cairn and was easy to spot. The temperature was actually pretty cool up on the plateau. Ran into the same family I had met on Mount Ellen earlier in the day.

Pfeiffer75A long drive for an easy COHP  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Jul 9, 2009

A long drive from Loa, UT on some good dirt roads. A very uneventful and easy COHP, but the views were still amazing for such little physical effort

Stopped to get the knoll on our way out to the Henry Mountains. I did this peak in a levi skirt, sandals and a blanket wrapped around me. It was later in the day and very chilly out.

vernileMini Road Trip  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Aug 28, 2008

My wife and I made a little two day road trip through Garfield and Wayne Counties, picking up a high point in each. We saw a lot of new country as well as some we had seen many times on our way to Lake Powell. Beautiful weather and a fun trip.

Wish we could have spent more time in this area. Flash floods wiped out part of Hwy 24 the day we were in the area. It was wicked crazy weather.

I first hiked and camped on Boulder Mountain in the 1960's with my dad and grandpa but didn't bag the highpoint until a trip to Fish Lake with my family and some friends' families. Hiked up from the roadside Forest Service sign with Mike Jones under cloudy/rumbling skies.

ScottThe Boulder

I've been all over Boulder Mountain. By far the northern and eastern sides are much more scenic and impressive than just Bluebell Knoll on top. Lots of waterfalls, lakes, sandstone outcrops and good scenery.

Date Climbed: Aug 11, 2007

It was a beautiful day. No smoke or haze, so the Henry's and Tushars were as clear as ever. Drive in isn't too bad at all. Had a picnic lunch next to Raft Lake and enjoyed the cool temperatures.

This is a great drive and a great place for camping, biking, and maybe even fishing (some other trip). However, the mosquitoes at this time of year are horrendous!

d_shorbAs part of my Boulder Top meanderings

I worked up here for 3 summers out of Loa. Bluebell Knoll was a spot we managed to get to a couple of times a summer, although the Boulder top itself is also a magnificent and wild place to roam with tons of alcoves, viewpoints, and and sub-mountains.

This was the final county of 7 UT counties that my wife and I did in one day (midnight to midnight). We arrived on scene at 11:35pm and decided to call it a day!

After 500+ miles from AZ, arrived in mid afternoon for the drive to the top and the easy stroll to the summit. Beautiful views. Picnicked while on the plateau.

Date Climbed: Oct 11, 2003

My trusty VW held together and made it to the summit road just fine. The road onto Aquarius was quite washboarded for a few miles in '03. I arrived at the summit just as the sun was about to set. Truly a memorable experience, with utter silence and solitude.

DeanStroll up the Knoll  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Jul 3, 2005

Andrew and SP member Dennis both accompanied me on this stroll to the top of the Knoll. The hard part was getting to this way out of the way place. A long way from anywhere but the Aquarius Plateau is a magical place.
