MelNinoI must return  Sucess!

This was the one that wiped me out.....we had done Race Brook before, and I was not in the best shape.....so I was not a fan of Everett, But I shall retun this year and redo it. It was a good view at the top

Climbed with Race via Race Brook Trail from Route 41. An enjoyable day-hike with great views of the Taconics, Catskills and Shawangunks from the breezy summit.

mstenderSouthern Taconics Traverse  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Oct 11, 2008

Did 3 Taconics summits with Chinigo: Bear Mt., Mt. Race and Everett. Pretty long hike (13 miles; we parked cars at 2 different trailheads) but it was a gorgeous day. Views from the top of Everett are not as great as from Race though.

Date Climbed: Aug 18, 2004

Topped this peak while hiking all of CT's AT portions. Ate lunch on a nice rocky meadow that allowed us to dry our clothes from wading in Sages Ravine. Great humid East Coast day.

If not for one "s", I can say I climbed Everest without oxygen.

Cold, windy and clear. Spent little time with Jenkins on the summit before finding a sheltered area to eat.
