| Did this one for the sixth or seventh time with Dosha the dog, and opted for the old road variant for the first time in a few years. It appears time has not done any favors to this route as it has lots of blowdown, and at some points is difficult to even stay on the old road! It is certainly a shame as this was once a pleasant way to avoid the crowds on the other trails. To further degrade the experience, there are timber sale signs along the route, indicating it may become much less aesthetic in the future. Saw a few bikers on the Wilson River Trail and a guy with a few dogs on the Kings Jr trail. Continued on to Kings and descended the kings Jr ridge and back to the truck via the well graded easy going Wilson River Trail. |
