BaarbWow!  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Oct 8, 2004

Can't believe there's actually a page for this! Climbed this while heading for Carnedd Llywelyn though the weather turned bad and we headed back down figuring we'd do it another time when we'd get some views. Love this area, very much miss it!!!

Attempted to ascend this and take in Dafydd and Llewelyn too, but in terrible conditions and visibility on Dafydd had to ascend.

Bryan BennEasier Way Up  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Sep 15, 2008

Went up from the Ogwen Valley via the easier east route, thus avoiding the very steep frontal route that makes most people curse like mad! Boggy in parts and some scrambling. Saw sod all on the summit or from the ridge onto Carnedd Llewellyn and back down as it was very bad day for weather. Still a very nice walk.

daveyboyLovely Clear Day  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Apr 29, 2006

Done this summit from the Ogwen Valley then on across the ridge to the Dafydd and Llewelwyn. Returned via the ridge east of the great reservoir above the Ogwen Valley. Crystal clear weather with views for miles even as far the Lakes and Isle of Man...!
Nice for the weather to be like that as its a heck of a drive from Kent.

igneouscarlKiller on the knees  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Aug 23, 2008

Climbed several times, the latest on way past Carnedd Dafydd on way down to the Ogwen Cottage (for a hamburger) and the descent is even worse on the knees than the way up. Then headed up the walkers ridge on Y Garn.

Andy_HornungA few times  Sucess!

Most memorable ascent being as part of the Welsh 3000s when we were entertained by an inappropriately dressed young lady (open toes and heels with combat dress!)descending the entire slope to Ogwen on her backside, shouting at her hapless companion (husband presumably) all the way. I suspect he has never been allowed to forget that day out, if they ever spoke again afterwards.

Date Climbed: Oct 15, 1982

The start of a short tour of the Carneddau with Colin, Ken, Andy and Andy's daughter. No views at all from the summit.

Having lived in North Wales I've climbed this a number of times including a couple of 14 peak round trips. This is the mountain that stands out for having the wettest day I have ever climbed in, severe thunder storms and I like the fact you are straight into the climb. Pinnacle Ridge is ok

mountainmanjohnWet One  Sucess!

Did this from the carpark with Mark Rapley leading the way, then made a day of it, bagging many tops in the cloud, finishing the other end of Lyn Ogwen. The only thing was it rained as only Wales knows how.......all day. But for some reason it was still great!
