| Hiked both beaks after a camp at Sandbeach Lake. I was amazed at the number of columbines near the summit. | |

| We ended up on Mount Orton on the way up Longs. If you want to get into the basin from the North Ridge stay on it almost until Chief's Head then drop down. | |
