nicstandaertFunny Park  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Oct 12, 2009

Definitely one of the funniest parks I've been too. Saw some people on one of the white peaks in the back, but couldn't find the way to get up there, what a labyrinth! Anyways a great place!

mtybumpoSweet Place!  Sucess!

I was little when I was there but I remember how cool it was. I loved all the weird rock formations and I have pictures of me playing around on them.

edevartSeen some weird things in them hills  Sucess!

Many times as a kid and teenager. Once came across a "nude ninja"--some guy standing on a hoodoo doing tai chi or practicing kung fu. Also once found a clay mask that somebody had made and then adherred to the sandstone in a small grotto in the depths of the valley.

There are many caves and crevices to explore--so much fun for kids.

What a crazy place to just roam around and enjoy the natural mazes. In addition to the wild formations, I especially enjoyed the remoteness of the park (which I hope has not changed) and the Pronghorns sprinting along with our vehicles on the drive in.

Cool Place, and lots of good canyoneering sites nearby! Actually I was first here in the early '70's, then most recently last spring!

mtnhiker13what a querky little place!  Sucess!

Wonderful stop for a few hours to crawl around the various bizzare formations in this park. Kids would have a great time here. Go in the spring before it gets too hot!

March 2006.
Had a couple beers with my wife then just sort of played and jogged around gleefully, had a great time! Would love to just get lost in there for a while.

I first came here in 2006 and will be coming back many times I predict. Hiked and explored many nooks and crannies of this park. I wonder if anyone has summited Wildhorse Butte?

This is such a great place. I have never been here before, and I plan on returning.

I did not bring my son with me, big mistake. I will be coming back to spend a few days here in the area with him!

ChrisGoblin Valley 50k Ultramarathon  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Oct 28, 2006

Ran my first ultramarathon here, the Goblin Valley Ultra 50k. What a beautiful place... in the middle of nowhere! If you're looking for a good first ultra, this one was fun. Well organized with a pretty easy course. The last mile was through the Goblins, which was pretty surreal after 5.5 hours of running.

An incredible area, even in southern Utah. The formations let your mind run wild: I saw an Orthodox priest in a cheap plastic chair in a bowling alley; elderly, anthropomorphic lizards; a manatee; you get the idea...

If it wasn't surrounded by so many other beautiful areas, it would be famous.

Explored this valley for a good while. Clambered up a few hoodoos and the far eastern wall on the other side of the canyon. A very lonely and serene place.
I've wanted to visit this place since I seen it in the movie, "Galaxy Quest".
